Week 3

Assalamualaikum.

In this week, we have 3 classes on Microbiology. First on Monday, then Tuesday and lastly on Friday.

Monday

The class was at 2p.m to 5 p.m. 3 hours?? What was we doing for 3 hours? Heee. Today we learned new topic which is microscopy. In Matriculation, I only knew about Light Microscope, Electron Microscope. Maybe there are another microscope but I am not remember. :D

On this topic we learned about:

1.     Type of microscope

2.     Different microbes that can be observed using specific microscope.

3.     The types of staining.

Owh ya. We also learned the History of Microbiology.

1.     Robert Hooke was the first person or scientist coined the word cell. He says that “All living things are composed of cells”.

Of course, there are another Scientist but I just want to mention Robert Hooke. :D

Tuesday

We have to bring our own laptop in Microbiology Class. But I did not bring the laptop. My member’s group does. Heee..

I wonder, what actually we want to do with laptop? Then, I knew. Dr. Wan Zuhainis want us to do the map using MindMaple software or other software. We must do the mind mapping on chapter 3 which are about the Prokaryote.

Actually I loveeee do the map mapping. It was fun and I also can refer to the map for recap or recall what we was learned on that day.

What I was learned:

1.     We must know the external structure of prokaryote first. Then we can more understand when we go to external structure.

2.     Prokaryote means a group of organism that lack a cell nucleus.

3.     The size, shape and arrangement.

4.     We must know the shape of bacteria or microorganisms because we want to know their motility, character and water filter.

In the night on Thursday, Dr. Wan Zuhainis announced that the class on Friday will start at 8 P.M dismiss at 10 P.M. I was so excited to know that. Because I can go home early. :D

Friday

Today was fun because we do some activities. Before that, we must read the notes on Chapter Prokaryotes. Honestly, I cannot remember a things or sentences in short time.

Then, the activities were we must do the map on the whiteboard. Each of us must participate. During the activities, our picture was taken for our sweet memory maybe. Heee.

After the activities, I realized that we must read or actually study the chapter or things that we learned that day before entering the class. Then, we can more understanding and memorize.

So, my aim or vision after this I MUST and MUST and MUST study first before enter the class. Not only for Microbiology subject, for other subject as well. J
