Last Lecture!

On this last lectured, Dr Wan has been covered a few topics like Microbiol Growth, Nutrition, Isolating, Culturing and antibiotics.

What had I learned during this last lectured?

The growth of bacteria we look at the number of cells not the size of the cells. The growth of the cells depending on the specific conditions like water activity, light, temperature, pH, osmotic pressure. These are physical requirements. For the chemical requirements are depending on the water, trace elements, carbon sources and special growth factors.

Next, after we learned about how these microbes can growth we should know their nutrition.

Then, we learn the culturing and the isolating method. Before experiment or culturing, make sure the bench have been cleaned with alcohol to avoid contamination. Prepare algae first as a medium to isolate. Then after isolating/culturing how we know the bacteria reach the optimum growth. By plotting the graph and spectrophotometry.
